Ansiedade Matemática Traço e Estado: O que muda no desempenho?

Resumo: O estudo investigou o efeito da Ansiedade Matemática (AM) traço e estado antes e após tarefas matemáticas em crianças de 9 a 13 anos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa e quase experimental com 22 participantes (12 no grupo experimental e 10 no controle) do ensino fundamental de Vitória da Conquista – BA. Utilizou-se o Teste de Desempenho Escolar (TDE), o Questionário de Ansiedade Matemática (QAM), a Tarefa de Transcodificação Numérica e o State-MAQ. Dados foram analisados com correlação de Spearman (SPSS 25) e o d de Cohen (Excel). Houve aumento da AM estado pós-teste sem impacto no desempenho matemático no grupo experimental. Identificaram-se tamanhos de efeito médio para o MAC-B (d = -0,56) e State-MAQ (d = -0,61*) e muito grande para o TDE (d = -1,28). Crianças com maior AM demonstraram melhor desempenho aritmético, com efeito médio no grupo experimental (d = -0,69) e pequeno no controle (d = -0,30).
