Capturando olhares na formação de professores: Rastreador ocular e geometria

Resumo

A técnica do rastreamento ocular (RO) é utilizada como método de pesquisa que enriquece a análise da cognição e de aspectos comportamentais. Este artigo é fruto de um projeto que investiga como o uso do RO pode contribuir para o aprendizado de conteúdos geométricos. Sintetizam-se resultados de estudos focados em geometria. Os movimentos oculares estão ligados ao desempenho em tarefas de rotação mental e de gráficos. O RO revela como a criatividade matemática é usada na resolução de problemas e também ajuda na compreensão da leitura de gráficos. Tarefas com RO e geometria dinâmica permitem a análise detalhada em tempo real e individualizada. Com o uso do RO em geometria contribui-se com uma agenda na educação matemática brasileira.
