Abstract
The Regional Forums for Initial Training of Teachers who Teach Mathematics promote discussions on teacher training in different Brazilian states, contributing to the debates in the National Forums. The Regional Forums for Initial Training of Teachers who Teach Mathematics section presents nine articles that analyze the results of these events in 2023. The studies highlight challenges such as the articulation between theory and practice, the review of curricular policies, the valorization of teaching identity and the strengthening of undergraduate courses. In addition, they point out the precariousness of teaching and the need to encourage teaching careers. The reflections reinforce the importance of improving the training of Mathematics teachers to ensure quality and inclusive public education.
