Study and Research Path in the Field of Geometry: A European and Latin American Literature Review

Considering the space that PEP and PEP-FP have been gaining at the core of research developed within the ATD, the objective of this work is to outline an overview of studies carried out in Europe and Latin America that link PEP and PEP-FP to Geometry. To this end, a literature review was conducted based on articles published in the proceedings of the '7th International Conference on the Anthropological Theory of the Didactic – CITAD'. For the selection of articles, only European and Latin American works linking PEP and/or PEP-FP to Geometry were considered. Finally, based on the analyses performed, it is observed that European research presents these devices in various interdisciplinary contexts, with a generative question anchored in everyday situations mobilizing different fields of knowledge. However, Latin American research shows a recurring concern and difficulties in bridging teaching and research, thus PEP emerges as a strategy to strengthen this integration.
