Editorial and Copyright Policy

Educação Matemática em Revista - RS (EMR-RS) adopts the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license as the primary instrument for the publication of its articles. Any republication of a work released by the journal, at the initiative of its authors, is subject to the explicit mention of its prior publication in this journal, including the volume, number, and date.

By publishing in EMR-RS, authors agree to the following terms:

  1. Copyright and Publication: Authors retain full copyright over their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. The work, once published, is simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows for the sharing and adaptation of the material for any purpose, including commercial, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original creation and its initial publication in this journal.

  2. Subsequent Distribution: Authors are authorized to distribute and enter into separate, non-exclusive contractual agreements for the version of the article published in this journal (e.g., publishing in institutional repositories, book chapters, etc.), provided that the initial publication in EMR-RS is explicitly acknowledged.

  3. Online Dissemination: Authors are permitted and encouraged to publish and distribute their article online (e.g., in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic social networks) at any time after publication, as this can lead to productive exchanges and increase the impact and citation of the published work.

  4. Editorial Review: The Editorial Team reserves the right to make normative, orthographic, and grammatical edits to the original manuscripts in order to maintain the formal language standard and comply with ABNT norms, while respecting the authors' style. The final proofs of the article will be sent to the authors for approval before publication.
