The teaching of rational numbers in fractional form: a look from professional masters in the area of education

This article aims to present a bibliographic survey, conducted in Professional Masters in the field of education, on the teaching of rational numbers in fractional form in the final years of elementary school. This study is characterized as qualitative, and the organization of data collected were given from the idea of axes of analysis. The results indicate that, in the final years of elementary school, the focus is on the use of active teaching methodologies, the use of manipulable materials and technological resources that help in the construction of such concepts. In addition, the research shows that, given the importance of this concept, it is necessary to invest in actions that researches aimed at teaching rational numbers throughout Basic Education.
